Is there any news on when this functionality will be arriving for EE4?
I know it exists in EE3 but I’m on 4 now and would love to have a way of faster processing at the event door especially if there are lots of attendees arriving at the same time.
Any suggestions?

What are you looking for exactly? We do have printable tickets and bar/qr code scanning in development. Will you have devices at your event/venue that can be outfitted with barcode scanners?

I have iPhones and iPads that can be used. I believe there is an internet connection that can be used at the venue.

Will you be able to connect barcode scanners to the iPhones and iPads?
We do have ticketing and scanning add-ons in development but we do not have a release date yet.
If you will have access to internet-enabled barcode/qrcode scanners (like those you can adapt for an iphone or ipad) I can probably get you access to our private github repository to take a look at what we have done already.

Not sure if I could get an extra stand alone scanner, but the iPhones have the Redlaser app on them if that works.
Wouldn’t mind taking a look at what you have, the event is in about a month and it would be great to have faster door processing.

Hi there,
The ticketing add-on that we’re working on will require either a bluetooth hand held scanner or a plug-in hand held scanner. This is because if you try to use the Redlaser app to scan the tickets, you’ll be in another app instead of WP admin.

OK, I understand. I’ll see if I can get my hands on a usb scanner.
So in theory, this scanner system would work with a computer, ipad or iphone?

That’s correct.
Essentially, you’ll need to connect to a certain page on your website (either an admin page or a front-end page) and then use the scanner to scan the codes.
