Ticket price input field not saving

Hello,

I have had trouble working out why my ticket price won’t save. It is the initial install of EE4 and going through the first steps. When I create my first event, the ticket price doesn’t set and after the page has been refreshed and updated, the ticket price input field is blank.

Also, the price modifier lines in the advanced settings for the tickets are duplicating every time I click update for the event.

I’ve tried installing the core plugin only and resetting everything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

The issue your reporting is a little strange.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Pricing, can you see a base price listed there?

You should have a ‘Base Price’ and a Tax type by default.

Also, the price modifier lines in the advanced settings for the tickets are duplicating every time I click update for the event.

That’s not something I’ve seen happen before, any errors in the console section of Chrome Dev Tools (or similar) when on the event editor?

I’ve tried installing the core plugin only and resetting everything.

Just to confirm, may I ask how you reset everything?

Hi Tony, thanks for coming back to me.

The pricing page was acting up also. When I installed the plugin, the base price was missing and only the sales tax was there.

There are no errors anywhere, I did see warnings* when there were no tickets created, normally there is a free ticket by default, this was not there. When I created a ticket, the warning* when away but the price was not saving, the price field was emptied each time I updated the event.

*The warning was to do when usort() which makes sense.

I reset everything with the Event Espresso – Maintenance -> Reset -> Permanently Delete ALL Event Espresso Data.

I am using WP Engine, however, I have now created a new site with the same plugins and it works fine – for now.

The pricing page was acting up also. When I installed the plugin, the base price was missing and only the sales tax was there.

That’s the problem, no base price, every ticket links to a price and base price is used as… well the base price for the tickets 🙂

Strange how the rest mentioned above didn’t fix it though as that drops all tables and EE will recreate them, so would have expected that to fix it really.

If you new site has correctly created the prices and tickets are now working as expected it should be fine, but please do lets u know if you run into any issues.

As your running on WPEngine, have you gone through these steps:

(Note related to your issue here, but will need to be done for EE to work correctly)
