Ticket page is blank

When someone buys a ticket they get an email that says click here to print ticket, except the page it takes them to is a blank webpage. When I click on the ticket icon on the persons name, it takes me to a blank webpage. I cannot find anywhere that allows editing a ticket html. I have the ticket plugin installed, which it has been for years, and it is the latest version. How do I edit a ticket and make it show when they click the link?

Hi there,

A blank ticket page can happen for a few different reasons, so let’s start by making sure your ticketing message type is active.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Mesage Templates (tab)

Look in the list (there may be multiple pages) for the ‘Ticket’ message type:

Does it show?

If not go to the settings tab on that same page.

Under the HTML tab, does the ticket message type show as active?

Event if so, if it wasn’t in the list we need to drag it over to be inactive, wait a second and then drag it back to be active again.

Does it show up on the default message template list now?

If so, check you links, do they work?

If they are still blank but you now have this in you default message templates:

Click ‘Edit Registrant’, is the template blank or can you see the ticket there?

You should see something like this: https://monosnap.com/file/UcSIGx7cDUeUt0eF4MnI14Gn2kxRLc

Thank you. It was not showing in the default messages but was in the settings. Dragging it off, waiting, and dragging back added it back to the defaults. The page is no working and not blank.

Great, so it sounds like your message templates were out of sync with the settings somewhere.

Meaning the ticketing feature was enabled but the template was inactive, the above fixes that by disabling and re-enabling the message type.
