We are doing an event that last 4 days with several types and prices of events to buy admission too. We would like to setup ticket packages that offer a pre-set group of tickets at a discount. Ideally they could purchase the package and they would be given a ticket to each current event but at the discounted price.

Hi Nicole,
You should be able to accomplish this using the Multiple Event Registration add-on and the Volume Discount add-on (available in the pre-release channel). Hope that helps?

I’ve downloaded the volume discount add on and I’m already using the multiple event add on. I only want to give them the discount if they buy a certain combination of events. For instance if they buy a Cooking Demo & the Lunch I want to discount the total price $30. I’m not sure how to do that with a volume discount.

I think the volume discounts add-on should work, by assigning the events to categories, then add those categories to the volume discount settings. I have another person verifying this for me.

Hi Nicole, I was coding up a little project last night that you might be able to use for your situation. We often get requests for a way to discount a 10 pack of tickets, for example. I wrote a little add-on that will allow you to create an “event” for the 10 pack, add a shortcode to the event description, and when the user goes through and pays for that “event”, it generates 10 groupon codes, which the user can then apply to the checkout when they sign up for the actual events. Right now I have it set up where the admin puts in the shortcode the choices of events they want the user to select from, and the user has to select which events they want the groupon codes to apply to, but that behavior could be changed to allow the groupon codes to be applicable to any event that has groupon codes enabled.
