Is there an error message when you try to download the PDF?

No – just a blank page with this URL (This is Thomas, the (former) webmaster by the way)

A blank page might indicate that there’s not enough memory to generate the PDF. You could try increasing the amount of memory that’s allocated to WordPress: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Ok problem resolved. In our case I not only allocated 96M of memory to PHP, but upgraded the old version of PHP running on the webhost. We upgraded to PHP v5.4 from v5.2
