I created a new event and ticket, which I’ve compared to my others and everything is the same, but for some reason, on the event page, this one is showing a bullet and “add title” above the date and time of the class. Where does this text come from? Here’s a screenshot: https://app.screencast.com/gzU4aMl9QkmBP
Here it is on another page where you can see there is no “add title” message: https://app.screencast.com/0yhx0PcKxlL2A

That field would likely be the name of the datetime. Are you trying to use CSS or something to hide the name(s) of the datetimes?

I have never named my datetimes, only my tickets. I don’t see anywhere that I’m using CSS to hide the name. I realized that I have all of the specialty classes on one page using this shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=specialty-contractor show_title=false] and that particular one still says “add title” even though the others don’t. Hi there,

The value being output is indeed the ‘Datetime Name’ value, if you view the source for the page it shows this:

https://monosnap.com/file/hCImJArCGxZCBm3hP6UjM1KLF910AL

You haven’t posted any links to your site so I wont link it directly here but I think I’m looking at the same event your referenced in your screenshot.

Edit that event and look at the DateTime:

https://monosnap.com/file/2BLdnc8Tw0FqGv6QebvobSBqoDAFJM

The name will be set to ‘add title…’

Click on that section, empty the field and press enter to commit changes. Thats will update the DateTime name to nothing… however, the default value for EE to show there on page load is ‘add title…’ so when you refresh the page it will show that value again, like this:

https://monosnap.com/file/1V7BgVDuXLNFO1kpcRCtLmnBAKaPzY

(That is me editing a DateTime using the method above, pressing enter, then refreshing the page and scrolling back)

Although on page load it shows ‘add title…’, that now shows the default value as there isn’t a DateTime name set. If you view the front end you’ll see it has been removed. What has likely happened here is someone has clicked on the title field and entered edit mode there, then clicked away:

https://monosnap.com/file/aBBANCVTDGPTaKy5AcTVjgeNleoosQ

So when no value is set, you click and ‘add title…’ is the default text shown, if you click away from the field the value set (‘add title…’) now doesn’t match the value saved (null) and EE updates to what has been set.

If you then duplicate that DateTime within the event, the dupe will have the text set as ‘add title…’ as a ‘set’ value not just the default.

I’m going to create a ticket to see if we can add some logic to prevent this but to fix it now you need to edit the event, edit the datetime(s) and set the name value to nothing.
