Ticket Count issue

The max number of tickets for my Event = 30
I have 2 dateTimes: DateTimeF with Limit = 15, and DateTimeM with Limit = 15
I have 6 tickets: SF,RF and CF and SM, RM and CM

What I’m trying to accomplish is:
1) SF,RF, and CF cannot exceed 15 tickets combined. Each of these tickets are assigned DateTimeF, and each ticket has a Qty set to 15. As long as the combination of SF, RF and CF do not exceed 15, we do not care how many tickets are sold of each.
2) SM, RM and CM cannot exceed 30 tickets combined. Each of these tickets are assigned to both DateTimeM AND DateTimeF. I would like to set the Qty for each of these tickets to 30. For example, our event can be completely sold out with 30 SM tickets, and that would be OK.

What I’m NOT able to accomplish in EventEspresso is setting the Qty of SM, RM and CM to 30. I can set it to 15, or less, but not more than 15. I have no idea why this is!!!! If I try to set it to 20, it AUTOMATICALLY switches it back to 15 when I save the event. No warning or error message is displayed. It just changes the Qty. I just don’t see what I’m doing wrong, and why the Qty of SM, RM, and CM cannot be set to 30, given that each of these tickets are associated with both DateTimeF and DateTimeM, both of which have 15 allowable tickets.

Hi there,

When you assign a ticket to multiple datetimes each sale of that tickets applies to each datetime assigned to it. So between DateTimeF (limit 15) and DateTimeM (limit 15) you don’t have 30 spaces, you have 15 and that’s why the Qty’s are automatically changing.

Tickets grant access to datetimes and the qty of tickets you can sell of a ticket assigned to multiple datetimes is the lowest qty from those datetimes as the ticket will show sold out when one of the datetimes assigned to it hits its limit.

1) SF,RF, and CF cannot exceed 15 tickets combined. Each of these tickets are assigned DateTimeF, and each ticket has a Qty set to 15. As long as the combination of SF, RF and CF do not exceed 15, we do not care how many tickets are sold of each.

For this setup, SF, RF and CF need to be assigned to their own datetime within a limit of 15. Sales from any combination of tickets assigned to that datetime can then only be equal to 15.

If you want to sell a combination of 30 tickets for SM, RM and CM, those tickets can not be assigned to the same datetime as the above tickets. SO you would need another datetime specifically for these tickets and then on that datetime set the limit to 30.
