We recently setup square payments on the events plugin, a week or so later payments were not going through with users seeing error message saying “This request could not be authorized” how can we stop this from happening again?

Hi there,

When this happened, what did you need to do to fix it? (You mentioned stopping it from happening again, so I assume you did something to fix)

It sounds like the connection to Square may have broke, so I’m guessing you reconnected?

Hi the connection between the Event espresso payment system and Square had disconnected, so to get it working again I had to go through the re-authentication process, and re-connect, then run a test etc.

so bottom line yep as above, but what we need to check/ensure is why would it have disconnected in the first place, once we know that we can then hopefully ensure it doesn’t happen again 🙂
