Themeroller instructions out of date!

I have followed the instructions three times to get theme roller style to work. I am not sure what is going on wrong, but I can see my theme in the template settings and it is selected, however, the style has not been applied. I have disabled the plugin’s that are known conflicts but that didn’t help anything.

Hi, could you install the Theme test drive plugin and activate a default WP theme and re-test to see if any styles are applied?

Hi Beth,

I’ve seen this happen once before and it turned out that the WordPress theme had its own themeroller stylesheet. Have you checked the theme? Can you post a link to the webpage so we can investigate?

Hi Beth,

I checked and I can see that there are jQuery themeroller stylesheets loading up from the “Hairpress” theme. Does this theme have a setting where you can turn off its themeroller styles? If not, can you check with the theme’s support for instructions on how to remove those styles? Most WordPress theme CSS files can be removed using the wp_dequeue_style() function.

Removing the theme’s jQuery themeroller style is necessary in this case because they are overriding your custom styles.
