This is related to my previous post but that thread is closed. The theme developers are not showing me much love as EE4 is beta (though this works perfectly well in 2014 theme). Anyways, I had to use the custom plugin that Josh and Lorenzo were kind enough to give me to even display the event page, however I still cannot see the featured image. Any help appreciated.

Hi Donal,
I just loaded up that theme and the custom plugin, and then added a few events with featured images and it seems to be working fine.
Can you provide a link to an example please?

Dean, i activated the plugin. You can now see event details (except not the featured image).

Looking at the rest of the site such as http://www.irishnetworkboston.net/2014/04/an-taoiseach-at-the-consulate/ and http://www.irishnetworkboston.net/2014/04/hello-world/, the featured images are not functioning there either.
The events are not even showing the featured image code, so I don’t think it’s a conflict as such, I think the theme is just designed that way (setting maybe?)

See the Ready for Mobile Devices post? Clicking it shows no featured image.
Honestly, I’m not sure what else we can do here, as it is not an EE issue as such, more the theme.
