I am using WordPress 3.8, EE version 3.1.36.1P and an updated Elegant Themes theme. The home page slider and other features no longer work since I uploaded EE. I have to use it because it has the features that I need and I am supposed to be finished with this site next week. Is there something about EE that interferes with other javascript? Is there anything I can do? I’ll take the site out of maintenance mode so you can see the site. http://antiqueorunique.org/. If you need to login and see the back end, please let me know. |
Hi Debbie, Does the conflict only occur when Event Espresso is activated or did it begin when you installed WordPress 3.8 too? Does the conflict also happen on WordPress 3.7? |

Hi Debbie, Looks like the site is still in maintenance mode. Please send WordPress admin level log in credentials via this form: That way we should be able to see the site without having to take it out of maintenance mode. |

I update the WordPress before I installed the plugin. username is **** and password is ****. I hope you can help me. I have already made flyers and collateral based on this theme’s design and it’s supposed to go live next week.

Oh and you should know it’s only the event espresso itself that messes with the site, the other EE plugins don’t affect it. |
Hi Debbie, Did you remove the Event Espresso plugin? I don’t see it in your WP admin. |

I did, I thought I might do a workaround by setting up a simple second wordpress site and using it just for the event registration. I would be willing to reinstall it, if you think you might be able to help me. Should I just install the main plugin? |
Without Event Espresso even installed on your website, I can see that you are getting a couple Javascript errors that are most likely causing the issue, not only with Event Espresso, but also other plugins. These errors are most likely caused by another plugin, or possibly your theme, that is NOT loading Javascript files properly. Here are the errors: Timestamp: 12/13/13, 2:57:45 PM You will need to get these errors fixed before going any further. |

I don’t know how to fix them. I have a WP UI plugin installed that I’m not using, I can get rid of it. Also I have had some issues with the jcarousol plugin, but it seems to be working OK now. I had to add a snippit of code. I suppose I could deactivate it and see if EE works. I don’t really know javascript. |
I would suggest deactivating all other plugins other than Event Espresso. Then activating them one-by-one until you find the plugin that is causing the errors. |

Hi, |

@binalood, Hi, it is something we are currently working on, but due to our focus on version 4.0, the theme is not currently ready for release. |
