A client of ours is running the latest version of EE and after several hours of debugging a problem we’ve determined that it conflicts with the theme they are using.
Theme: SolitudoVersion: 2.28
If you set an event’s date to anything in the past (we tried sept 1 – sept 2) it works fine, but the client tried to add an event from November 22nd for the day and it results in http://www.clahrc-eoe.nihr.ac.uk/events/cross-clahrc-care-homes-research-event-november/
This has worked in the past, but they’ve not added anything since May.
Theme, WP, and EE plugin are all up to date. In fact this problem only came to our attention after the plugin update.
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Angela,
Do I understand correctly that the issue is the single event page does not load? Have you checked to see if that’s an unmodified copy of the theme or are there modifications that were made to it?
If you can send a copy of the theme to support at eventespresso.com (a link to a zip file will ensure email delivery) someone from EE support staff can take a look at the theme, find what’s wrong, and suggest a fix.

Hi Josh,
There has been no modifications to the theme at all, just the usual updates. We tested it Twentyseventeen and it works fine, hence our conclusion that it’s the theme. I’ll send that over to the support team now. Thank you.

Hi Angela,
We received the copy of the theme. Can you check again for modifications to the theme, because I’m looking at lines 125-180 of the theme’s functions.php file and they are loaded with customizations specifically directed at Event Espresso pages. These may be causing the errors you’re seeing.
If all else fails you can try downloading a fresh copy of the theme and using that one instead.
