I tryed to make an FTP backup of a site with an activated Eventespresso plugin. I’ve got an error by different files of Eventespresso because the path was too long for our file transfer tool (Filezilla). How can I fix that?
My second issue is: As I installed the Plugin there were a lot of error reports. Here some of those:
“The event espresso critical pages-configuration settings could not be updated.”;
“fopen(wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-decaf/espresso.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 4784”;
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-decaf/core/helpers/EEH_Template.helper.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-decaf/core/helpers/EEH_Autoloader.helper.php on line 87
It sounds like you’re missing some files, and that you didn’t properly transfer the data to the backup site. You can use a plugin like WP Migrate DB to properly migrate the data. With regards to your FTP issues, as far as I know that’s a limitation in Filezilla that they are not going to fix. There are other ways to clone a site that are much more reliable, for example the Duplicator plugin:
