“The data is not in the correct format”

I have application passwords installed and password created.

This has been working in the past. The iphone app access method breaks every other time I go to use it.I am using a brand new downloaded iphone Event espresso app.

Cannot get this thing to work, at all. I keep getting the same error message.

Yes, the site is set to postname for permalinks. Always has been.
Yes, everything is updated. Decaf 4.9.38

I’m at a loss. Any help?

Hi there,

Can you post a link to the site you are working on please?

Do you have error_reporting/WP_DEBUG enabled on the site?

Thank you for the quick response. I’m on the road and it’s hard to keep up with fixing stuff.

No I do not have WP+Debug enabled, but I can make it so.

Thanks a ton. I’ve done as much as I can figure out from this site, the help files and the forums. I’ve disabled plugins, etc, etc. I’m sure I’m just missing something.

Gone for the weekend for sure. Will be back. Summer is busy and would be nice to get this working efficiently.

You actually should not enable WP_DEBUG, if it is enabled it can cause the “The data is not in the correct format” error.

You could try adding this to your wp-config.php file after the line that sets WP_DEBUG to false:
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
