I asked one of the developers to check and he noticed that if you send the HTTP authorization header with an incorrect password to the secondary site, it gets totally ignored. Which means, somehow the authorization headers aren’t making it, and it’s not a WP user permissions issue.
Are there any security plugins or plugins that restrict access to the site?
