Josh, the more I use EE, the more features I find. It is a powerful add-on.
We are in test mode now before we go live (we are a non-profit charity).

After registering successfully, the user is taken to the Thank You page where the short code [EXPRESSO_PAYMENTS] is used. We need to either change the landing page (i.e. Thank You Modified) or change the shortcode so that some fields are not used,i.e. price, confirmation, etc.

I am not a software programmer. Would changing the contents of the shortcode be practical? If so, where do I find it?
Thanks

Hi Lawrence —

The page you are looking at uses the payment_overview.php template in the /templates directory of the plugin. My best recommendation would be to look at that file and see if you feel comfortable modifying it — you would be a better judge than anyone else about whether it would be practical/easy for you to update. Just make sure that you upload the modified version to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates so it does not get overwritten when you upgrade Event Espresso.

Chris, thanks. I may be confused so please excuse “user error”.
Once the registration is submitted, the registration page is updated with the “confirmation” message. I thought it was then that the user was taken to the THANK YOU URL. When they receive the email, and click on the PAYMENT DETAILS, then they are taken to the THANK YOU URL.

Is there any way that I can change the wording of the message on the Registration screen?

Other than that, I got it (I hope)

Changing the wording can be accomplished by changing the wording of the text string in the language file as well. The PoEdit application is the tool we recommend for doing that. You can download the english language .po file from the languages directory, open it up in Poedit, and make the changes.

After that, you can save the changes, and Poedit will generate a new .po and .mo file. These can be uploaded back up to the /languages directory of the Event Espresso plugin.
