Hello Jon, You can use your email for paypal settings, paying at paypal and for the registration, but that isnt the issue at hand here. If you have set up the PayPal settings to do a test transaction you will need test credentials. In order to do this you will need to set up an account with the PayPal Sandbox – https://developer.paypal.com/ PayPal have recently changed the way they use and display there developer docs, so at least for me, its a bit of a minefield to navigate, and it was never particularly easy to set up. In short you will need a Buyer account and a Seller account set up. The seller account is the details you add into the plugin and is ONLY used for testing, remember to swap back to your real credentials before going live. The Buyer account is what you use when “purchasing” the test event, so instead of your normal login details. After you have signed up for the sandbox account, I suggest going to Applications in the main menu and then selecting Sandbox accounts on the left hand menu. That will get you to the place to start making fake credentials. Here’s PayPals guide for setting it up – https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/lifecycle/ug_sandbox/ |
