Test-System Install

Hello EE-Team,
I want to install a Copy of ee4 to a test-system. I got several Errors with the licence Key, of course. Is there a possibility to get a second key for a test-system, that doesnt’s sell tickets?

Hi Jan,

You do not need a key to use or test Event Espresso. The key only is used for the 1-click updates, so it’s advised to leave the key field blank on the test system.

Hi Josh,
Yes i left the field blank to get rid of the errors, but how to update EE without a key?

You can download the current version of the plugin from your account page (it will be a .zip file).

Then you head over to your test-system site’s WP > Plugins page and follow these steps:
1) Deactivate & delete EE
2) Click Add New
3) Upload the zip file and click activate
