I want to use Event Espresso for our organization, but we need to first set up a test site to do some custom development behind a firewall. If I use the plugins for the test site, will it allow me to set it up on the the full domain when I’m ready?

Hi Jonathan,

Yes. If you activate your license key on your testing domain, then you will want to request that we reset your license key so it can be reassigned to your live domain when you’re ready. You can do that from your account page.

Thanks Garth. Is that a process where you will assign new numbers, or I will need to uninstall, have you reset, and then reinstall in the new domain?

Hi Jonathan,

We will reset the licence key, so its just a case of removing it (the key) from the development server and adding it into the live server.

Ideally, a development server doesnt need the licence being active, the only downside is you would have to manually update the plugin.
