Hi There, I have some questions regarding Buying Multiple Tickets:

1. Main registrant
– Some of our events receives only collective registration, for example a group leader who registers all of his/her members with individual name on the tickets. What happened now is that the first participant’s name (primary registrant) on the tickets would replace the wordpress account name of the person who logs in.

Is there any way to avoid this because the person who registers for his/her group might or might not registers him/herself to the event?

2. Buying tickets for someone who already registered in the system
– This is related to no 2 above. Let’s say that a user with abc@email.com already registered as a user in the system. When someone is buying ticket for this person and requires inputting email of the participants, the system rejects the registration.

Is there a way to disable this checking?

3. Copying some question’s answer when buying tickets
– Let’s say we require participants to submit these info when buying tickets: Name, Email, Phone number, Organization, Address, Country.

To avoid filling the same answer again and again when buying multiple tickets, is it possible to copy SOME of the answer from the primary registrant to the rest of the participants?

Hi there,

1. Main registrant

Yes, go to Event Espresso -> Registration form -> User Integration Settings

Set the ‘Always sync contact information with WP user profile?’ option to No and save.

Note that registrations made that do not match the user account details will not show up in that users ‘my events’ section.

2. Buying tickets for someone who already registered in the system
– This is related to no 2 above. Let’s say that a user with abc@email.com already registered as a user in the system. When someone is buying ticket for this person and requires inputting email of the participants, the system rejects the registration.

Yes, you can use either of these 2 snippets:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/1131145859a3fab58f4d

If you only want to skip the check if a logged in user is adding the registration then use the first snippet, to disable it completely you add the second and you can add those snippets to a custom functions plugin, we have some documentation on creating one here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/

There’s a copy function within EE that copies all of the info from Attendee 1 to the other attendees when clicked, thats this feature:

We don’t have an option to copy specific questions on the registration form but if the user enters their details in attendee 1, then copies to all, they can then amend the details on the additional registrants to suit, would that work?
