Hi guys

I have to add taxes for Switzerland 7.7%.
If I go to tax settings, I just can add taxes without decimals. I tried 7.7% or 7,7% and it always changes the tax to 77%.

Could you please help me?

Thank you
Cristina

Hi there,

Currently, you have your Thousands separator and your Decimal separator set to the same value, a period (.)

EE allows you to set each of those values, but it doesn’t expect each of those values to be the same so you’ll need to change one of them to be unique.

Forgive me but is it expected in Switzerland for those to be the same?

Hi Tony

Thanks for your reply.
You’re right! There was twice the same. Frankly speaking, in Switzerland it’s also . and , separately.

Thank you for your help!
Cristina

You’re most welcome, I’m glad that fixed it 🙂

To accommodate the various currencies around the world we allow for various changes to each currency settings, however when setting the Thousands separator and the Decimal separator to the same character EE has no way to differentiate between the 2 when passed a value like 7,7 so it takes a guess and goes with the whole value.

Any further problems just let us know.
