Hi,

When I click on a “This ticket is taxable” box in the ticket editor section, the tax strangely shows up multiple times and all get calculated. So a ticket with a base price of 3,000 becomes 8,250.
This must be an error. and it occurs consistently with every ticket type and for all my events. Could you please advise on how to fix it?

Basically, the shortcode [TAX_LINE_ITEM_LIST] produces such repetition. I guess there’s something wrong with the tax line script .

Hi there,

Can you check the Event Espresso > Pricing Page and see if there is more than one default price set up that’s has a Tax price type?

I checked and I was having only one Tax price type that was active and I was having 12 that were in trash.
Anyway, next I tried deleting permanently all the ones in trash and then added a new default price. I tested and it worked!
So it seems like the ones in trash were acting as if they were active that caused the problem.

Incidentally, the system deleted permanently all the ones in trash but two default prices. No matter how many times I keep deleting these two, the system won’t do it. What might be the problem here and is there a way I can successfully delete them?

It’s actually a feature that it doesn’t allow the end user to delete the default prices. You can use those (edit to your specifications) instead of trying to delete them.
