Will we be able to add tags to our events (similar to a wordpress post) in EE4? And if so, will those tags be searchable?

We’re looking for a way to maximize searchability for our events using the EE search (not necessarily SEO). Example: a user goes to our site, searches “music” and our events tagged with “music” pop up.

If that is not an option, users will be able to search Event Titles & Event Descriptions in EE4, correct? I know EE3 only searches Event Title.

Hi there Kimberly,

Event Espresso 4 does allow you to add tags but they are not searchable at this time. A search on your site will look for information in the event title and the event description.

Hi Kimberly,

You can also use plugins like Search by Tags or Search Everything to enhance your site search to include results that include event tags.
