Hi there,
I need to move my website from Hostpapa to another server as the Hostpapa is the worst server I have been dealt with. Please let me know what should I do.
Ted

Hi there Ted,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with your current host. Are you looking for a recommendation for a new web host or a guide on how to migrate to a new host (or both)?

In terms of your Event Espresso software, you won’t need to make any changes to any settings in EE since your site will be on the same URL.

Thanks Lorenzo for quick respond. I meant the License Key. Do I need to do anything extra for the LK? Or the updates are through my URL.
Thank you again,

Hi Ted,

If your URL will remain the same, then you won’t need a site license key release.

Cheers

Thanks a lot. One more question and if you have to move it to another location, please do.
Question: If I upgrade to EE4 can I use the same license key or I need to buy another LK?
Cheers,

Hi Ted,

You’ll continue to use that site license key.

Now if you need to move to a new website URL — for example from myoldwebsite.com to mynewsite.com, then we would need to release your key.

You can make that request through your Event Espresso account page.

Cheers

Lorenzo

My URL stays the same (omnilargess.com) but the host will be different. How about EE4? Is it stable enough for a person like me with no web disgn knowledge to upgrade to EE4

Hi Ted,

EE4 is still in beta so will have some issues that we are working to iron out.

To get a better idea of whether EE4 is suitable for you, please read this article https://eventespresso.com/2014/02/event-espresso-4-beta-officially-released/

As always when working with a website, basic HTML, CSS and perhaps PHP (or a friendly web designer) is always a bonus
