The Plugin seemed to be working but discovered a snag as clients started using it
The surcharge is NOT added when the client goes to pay in Paypal but the charge shows up in the invoice AND the paypal .30 fee is added in paypal so in Paypal the total presented is $725.30 without the 2.9% fee and the client then pays…. this leaves in outstanding balance in EE and the client gets another email about it? The actual total for this class is reflected in this invoice…
it just does not get counted when sent to paypal ???
I checked and it looks like the code I gave you has been changed. Also, you should switch to use the PayPal Express payment method in Event Espresso > Payment Methods. You can use the same PayPal account as the one you’re using now. There may be a problem with using PayPal Standard along with the customizations.
I haven’t gone through the code line by line to compare with the original code. I can let you know that the original code was tested and verified to work with PayPal Express. PayPal Standard isn’t supported anymore. I can take another look to see if any of your changes would affect the final prices.
I did the switch to express and it seems to work, the changes I think were just to use specific language in describing the surcharge to our clients
Thanks
