Hello,

I am referring to a previous thread (https://eventespresso.com/topic/surcharge-per-order/)

Script: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/0e10424fff36bd62bcd72a4c76cd0687

I was able to successfully add this to our site. It adds $1 to each order that is made. However I am running into an issue.

Ex:
Customer selects their tickets, adds to cart, gets to payment page and leaves. Never made payment. Now I have an ‘approved’ registration but an ‘incomplete’ transaction. Because its approved, it counts towards what is available to tohers. We allow our customers 24 hours to make payment otherwise we open the event to someone else.

I went to the transaction page, deleted the ‘cart’ payment that was not completed. Clicked on each registration associated and marked each one ‘cancelled’. This now opened the ticket for others to buy. However, the transaction still shows a $1 total because of the script. How can I remove it so it becomes $0 and the transaction can be closed/cancelled?

Can you delete any transactions if balance is $0 or $1 and no payment made?

Thanks
Malik

Hi there,

However, the transaction still shows a $1 total because of the script. How can I remove it so it becomes $0 and the transaction can be closed/cancelled?

Currently you can’t, but you don’t really need to.

Once the registration status has been set to anything other than Approved, the registration no longer applies to the reserved places, regardless of the transaction status.

Can you delete any transactions if balance is $0 or $1 and no payment made?

You can delete any registration (and therefor its transaction) if no payments are within the transaction. You deleted the payment from within the transaction correct? So it looks something like this – http://take.ms/MT638

If so if you want to remove it you can do so through the registrations list but either hovering over the registration and clicking the ‘Trash’ link that appears, or checking the checkbox next to the registration(s), selecting ‘Trash registrations’ from the bulk options and clicking apply.

Then again in the Trash you can perm delete if needed.

Hi Tony – Thank you for the quick response.

So we don’t wan to delete any registrations. As mentioned I go in there, remove any incomplete payment from the transactions and mark the registration as cancelled. Just like your screenshot.

We like to keep a log of which users started a registration but never finished just in case there are any issues down the line.

So in this case, is there a back end (via database) that i can mark the transaction 0. My only concern is report (financial) showing that $1 as pending. After 500 orders it adds up you know.

Let me know what you think.

You can delete the payment in the transaction, and you can also set the registration to have a “Cancelled” status.

Hi – Take a look. I have deleted the payment. Marked the order cancelled but $1 still shows pending and I am not able to delete it

Actually I missed something. You set the registration status to Declined.
