Support adding Stripe payments

I’ve seen the notification about PayPal Commerce account being required from mid April. We have a PayPal BUSINESS account, and I can’t find anything about a ‘commerce’ account. Can you please confirm that the PayPal account we currently have will continue to work?

Hi there,

Yes, a PayPal Business account can be used with PayPal Commerce.

PayPal Commerce is an integration method, think of it as how EE ‘connects’ to your PayPal account to take payments. So you don’t need a PayPal Commerce account, you just need to link your PayPal account to our PayPal Commerce payment method.

So go to Event Espresso -> Payment Methods -> PayPal Commerce.

Enable (if not already enabled) the payment method and click the connect button there, log into your PayPal account and follow the on screen instructions to connect.

That should be all you need to do and you’ll now be connected.
