Submit button allowing duplicates

Hello, I have asked this question before and I’m hoping something is resolved with all of the updates.

My client is getting duplicate registrations because people aren’t patient on their mobile devices, the press the submit button many times. Is there a way to easily make the button disappear so this doesn’t happen? I am constantly having to remove duplicates and babysit the system. Is there a way to make them be able to only register once with their email address so there will be no duplicates?

thanks!

Hi, Event Espresso does not currently disable the submit button once it is clicked.

Have you considered adding some help text just above the button or towards the end of the registration form?

You could copy over a couple of the templates files from the templates folder within the plugin folder to this location:

/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates

Then you could make those changes and save changes.

We have entered some text and have notified all clients and they still press it twice, sometimes three times. They are on their phones and don’t wait. My client is getting frustrated because we have to manually remove the duplicates.

Is there a way to not allow duplicate names and emails?

Hi,

That isn’t currently a feature of Event Espresso. Another option would be to temporarily disable the button for a few seconds after submitting it.

Here is an example:
