Stripe Integration issue when connected from mobile FB browser

Hello

One of our clients reported the following bug:

When she connects to our website using a link on FB, and goes through the checkout process, she is not able to complete the payment via Stripe. This is the screen that she sees:

It seems like the layover stripe image is completely disabled, so she cannot enter her card details.

When she tried directly from her mobile browser, everything worked correctly. It must be to do with Facebook’s browser on iPhone.

Is this to do with EE4 – stripe integration or should I send this to Stripe team?

Hello,

I checked Stripe Checkout’s documentation and don’t see the Facebook browser listed as one of the supported browsers there. You’ll find a list of supported browsers and a contact link there that you can use to contact Stripe to see if the Facebook browser is something that can be supported.

I just got a reply from Stripe support, they say that the issue is with EE4. How do we proceed?

We use Stripe checkout which appears to be the problem here, I’m not sure how this can be an issue with EE.

Can you provide a link we can use to view this? If you prefer to do that privately you can email the link to us using the address you have used previously.

You should try to register after you see this ad from your facebook app on an iPhone.

Ok, so the overlay from within the Stripe iFrame is loading OVER the checkout form, so the user can’t select the details they need.

We don’t have any control over that output, Stripe does, so as far as I can tell this is an issue with Stripe checkout and the FB browser.

One thing to note is that clicking on Stripe on a mobile device will actually redirect your to the Stripe checkout in another tab, which is the expected behaviour, this is NOT happening whe you use the link from facebook.

If Stripe can provide any technicaly details on how this is an issue with EE and not their checkout I’m more than happy to pass that over to our developers but currently this seems to be an issue with checkout rather then EE.
