Stop collecting info for different types of tickets

Hi again, I must preface this by thanking you for your excellent support, you’ve been really helpful and I’m very grateful for you taking the time to help out.

I saw on your forum that someone raised this issue earlier this year and I was wondering if there was any progress on this matter:

Basically, I have events with multiple types of tickets (eg. adult, child, senior etc.) but I only wish to collect one email address and name per group. The system doesn’t seem to be able to do this currently, despite setting Additional Attendee Registration info? to no info required – it currently asks for one set of details for each type of ticket.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex,

The information needs to be collected because the ticket types need to have a name and email address attached to them. This isn’t something that’s going to change for Event Espresso 3.x + Multi Event Registration as it’s the way the system was built. In 4.x the multiple ticket quantities can be selected for groups without using Multi Event Registration and there will be something like a copy all button that will autofill and collapse the remaining form fields.

That said a bit of custom jQuery can be used to make the additional fields auto fill based on the original form inputs and hidden out of view.

Here’s a link in another forum post that outlines how to accomplish this for cases where there is a single event and it’s preferred to hide and autofill the additional ticket type registration forms:
