In our registration questions we’re using the State/Province Dropdown but all the states are listed twice. How do we fix this?
Has this recently just happened?
To fix it you can go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Countries (tab).
Select United States (likely already selected by default if you’ve set your address)
It will load all of the states for the selected country.
Each state has a ‘State Appears in Dropdown Select Lists’ option, set the duplicate states to No and then save.
(Note that whilst you can try deleting the duplicates rather than setting them not to display, EE wont allow you to delete any that have registrations attached to them)
We only recently added this dropdown and it had the duplicates ever since we added it.
I set them to “No” and it worked great. Thanks for pointing out this feature.
Ok, so I can’t really tell how you’ve ended up with 2 states in that case but I’m glad the above worked for you.
If you haven’t had that field enabled for long you may find that you can delete most/all of those duplicates if you wish to do so.
