State is changing during registration and payment screen

For about the last month we have been receiving event registrations with the wrong State – specifically Arkansas instead of California. Our business is in California. This is happening with about 50% of the registrations and for about a month now.

I have ran several different test registrations:
– I did two test registrations on my iPhone and on the payment screen the state changed from California to Arkansas.
– I also tested it on my iPad and the state changed again on the payment screen.
– I also tried other states and it did the same thing it switched from the selected state on the registration page to the next state up on the drop down list (ie. Alaska switched to Alabama, Georgia switched to Florida, New York switched to New Mexico, etc.)

Again, I tested this on my iPhone and iPad with the same results. When I tested it on my Macbook the state did not change.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

Do you have the registration form set up so that the Country field appears before the State field? If not, can you change the order of the question fields so that the Country field is the field just before the State field?

So you are saying that the Country question must be listed before the State? That doesn’t make sense at all. The order of questions is always: Address, City, State, Zip and then Country (here is the US rarely is the country question ever asked). Is there any way to not use the Country question? Or does it affect Braintree payments or something else?

No I didn’t say that. You can make the Country question not appear at all if you don’t need that field.

Ok, can you tell me how to make the country question disappear? I believe we had it set that way before but it was effecting Braintree payment screen
