I would like to learn more about messages. I need to send a confirmation message on receiving payment, and a confirmation message requesting payment.

I would also like to send reminders 6 days before the event date (and there are 10 sessions linked to each event, each of which need email reminders).

I need to send a confirmation message on receiving payment

This is done automatically if done on the front end via the user, if you add a payment through the admin, there’s an option to send either the payment related email, the regisration related email(s) or both.

So, may I ask, is the above a payment confirmation only, or a full registration confirmation type message?

and a confirmation message requesting payment.

Manually?

Can you provide details of your registration flow? The ‘Registration pending payment’ message is triggered by default if a user registers and then selects an offline payment method and there’s also an option to send a payment reminder from within the transaction, it just depends on your setup.

I would also like to send reminders 6 days before the event date (and there are 10 sessions linked to each event, each of which need email reminders).

We dont’ have that available within core, but we do have an add-on in beta that allows for this:

Thanks for your response.
I was hoping to send a full confirmation with details of a successful payment and details of the event they’ve paid for.

We are also hoping to offer booking without immediate payment, so would like to offer a confirmation to show that we have received their booking subject to payment.

Registration flow:
Find event. Select payment type. Click Register now.
Registration form opens up for completion. If they have selected a pay for option, at the end of the form is the payment section.

Actually, I’ve just tested it and it is not recognising the content in one field when there is data in it. Why is this? Then it won’t let me proceed to the next stage.
