Hi,

Using v3.1.26, base install, utilizing CPT with the single-event_espresso.php as the template. The staff shortcode hard-coded into the template produces no result. A shortcode added to the event description produces the staff information on the registration page, but not on the single-event_espresso.php template.

Looked at shortcodes.php but unsure… any assistance appreciated!

Ok it is working in single-espresso_event.php. Unsure what I did to fix just glad it is;-)

However… I would like to set it up so I put the shortcode in the template, then if someone clicks the box on the Add New Event screen, the selected staff member’s information displays.

I read somewhere (old forums) that if you did place the shortcode in the registration-page-display.php that would happen? Did I mis-read? I did a test, placed staff shortcode in registration-page-display.php and in single-event_espresso.php with no result.

Hi Ann,

The shortcode information can be found here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#staff

The staff section doesnt specifically say how to add it to the php files, but it follows the same conventions as the others

<?php echo do_shortcode('[ESPRESSO_STAFF show_staff_roles="true"]'); ?>
