Currently, what we are seeing is some users getting a ‘refresh_token’ returned from Square, and others are not.
Without a refresh_token you can’t renew your access_token (which is valid for 30 days), there’s no difference on the request on our part and Square’s docs state a refresh token should always be returned, but it isn’t.
So, we’ve opened a case with Square to investigate this as we can’t see any reason for it and are waiting on that.
I can give you the latest version of Square in which we’ve made changes to make sure we are using the latest API version, added logging and a number of other changes to try and narrow this down if you would like to try it?
