I’m having the same issue as OP. My event is probably a bit different in that my goal is to have a single event, with 100 datetimes, with 100 available tickets (1 per datetime). Right now I’ve just got the first 5 days listed. But as soon as I Publish a majority of the datetimes go to Sold Out even though not a single ticket has been sold (all but the first ticket/datetime). Limit per datetime is 1, limit per ticket is 1 (with 5 tickets mapped 1-to-1 with 5 datetimes). Am I configuring it correctly with Limit 1 (for the Datetime) and Qty 1 (for the ticket mapping to that datetime)? I can’t think of any other way to do it that would work for this scenario.

Another issue: I’m running the latest paid Calendar plugin. “Register Now” button on each date just redirects you to the Event page instead of to the Registration page. My goal is to hide the normal DateTime / Registration buttons either by unchecking Show Ticket Selector or some fancy CSS i.e.:
.event-datetimes {
display: none;
}
.event-tickets {
display: none;
}
(both of which work) and use the calendar exclusively for selecting a date to register for and provide the Register button, however since the button seems to always re-direct me back to the event it is keeping me from doing this.

One other bug/nitpick (not a high priority), the Calendar doesn’t filter out shortcodes in the description of the event (so each event shows [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=true month=05 year=2017] at the bottom of the description). It’s like calendar-ception 🙂

I did try clicking the Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Count–it always returns “Ticket and datetime reserved counts were correct and did not need resetting.” The times I’ve successfully accessed the registration form, it seems to ‘use up’ that ticket / datetime and then it immediately shows ‘Sold Out’. If I don’t complete registration shouldn’t this still show as available (or at least revert back to Available after a certain amount of time) without me having to click the button? My preference would be to not use up the ticket until they submit their registration, and then return the ticket if the admin rejects the registration (there is a vetting process for applicants).

Running the latest WP 4.7.3 and EE 4.9.37.p. Link to event: http://tapsbugler.com/events/100-nights-of-taps-gettysburg-2017/

Thanks in advance!!

I was able to get the ticket behavior to be slightly better by leaving the Limit as NULL for each of my events and instead putting 1 ad the Qty for each available ticket, but it still seems a bit quirky. The other issues still apply.

After further thinking on it, for the Calendar “Register Now” event, I’m guessing the calendar is typically used for multiple events and that is why the “Register Now” takes you to the event page for that event. But in my case I will have 100 Event DateTimes all from the same event, so it would be nice if there was an option to have the “Register Now” link submit the form to start registration for that datetime instead of taking you to the event page. Without that capability the calendar plug-in (which I purchased as an add-on) is somewhat useless for my use case 🙁

Thanks!!

Paul

Hi Paul,

You’ll run into an issue with trying to create 100 datetimes and 100 pricing options in a single event. After about 30 options, then you may see a warning trigger as the event editor won’t accept anymore date times and/or pricing options.

Could you share more feedback about the event itself? For example, is this an event that takes place across multiple months?
