Hi.
I have the exact same issue. i’ve now installed the Payment Methods Pro – can you give a few more details of HOW to do this exactly?

An example would be really nice.

The text on the GitHub ReadMe just doesn’t make any sense to me. SO there’s no way that I can teach the person who is actually going to do it. Is it possible to have some check boxes for payment methods on the event page?

Usage: Activate a payment method, then update it so it’s only usable in the admin registration page by unchecking the box for “Front-end Registration Page”. Then you add a postmeta/custom field to the event you want it to be used on with the key include_payment_method, and the value of the payment method’s Admin-Only Name, et voila!

You can repeat this for other events, and for other payment methods on the same event by adding more postmetas/custom fields also named “include_payment_method”.

For some reason in the “Payments” admin panel – I can see the “Only for Specific Events” checkbox, but when I save it – it doesn’t stay ticked.

If you use this branch of the Payment methods pro add-on:

https://github.com/eventespresso/eea-payment-methods-pro/archive/FET-9102-payment-methods-metabox-on-event-editing-page.zip

It will add a metabox to the event editor where you can select the specific payment method (with checkboxes).

Yes, thats the one I’m using. However from the “Payments” panel – I can see that I can tick the “Only for Specific Events” box, but as I said – it does not stay ticked.

Is there an error message that displays after you update the payment method settings?

No. All the other settings & anything else I change on the page save correctly. Only the “Only for Specific Events” box reverts back to unticked.

Can you try this?

1) Go to the Payment Methods settings page and disable any payment methods that are added by add-ons.
2) Go to WP > Plugins, then deactivate the EE4 core plugin, any payment method add-ons for EE4, and the Payment Methods Pro add-on.
3) Then you reactivate the add-ons.

The above steps will refresh the config and that should help with allowing those settings to update.
