I’m having the same issue.

I’ve tried switching themes (to 2016) and disabling all but the EE Core plugin, and still, the “Add Media”, “Visual”, and “Text” buttons are missing.

WordPress Version:
4.5.3
PHP Version:
5.6.23
MySQL Version:
5.5.50
Event Espresso Version:
4.9.2.p

Hello,

I’ve split your support post reply from the original support post here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/certain-edit-options-have-disappeared/

If you see an existing support post that sounds like your issue or question, then please create your own support post and then include a link to the support post that you saw. This will help us prevent confusion when multiple members are posting.

I could not duplicate this issue on different testing sites so there may be something else triggering this on your site.

Could you try these steps?

1) Temporarily deactivate all plugins

2) Switch to any default WP theme

Both of the steps above will rule out a conflict with a plugin or the theme

3) Reactivate only Event Espresso core

Does the event editor appear normal? If not, then there may be an issue with your install. Try deactivating and deleting Event Espresso and installing a fresh copy from your account page by downloading the zip and uploading and activating on your WP site through your WordPress plugins screen.

Sorry about that. Understood going forward.

I have done 1, 2 and 3 and still the problem persists.

Very strange!

What do I do from here?

Hi,

The steps that I shared should have moved your site into defaults which means there should not be any conflicts via a theme or another plugin.

Did you try a re-install of your software?

I did that too actually. Once I’d put switched back from 2016 to Agrotisimo and it still didn’t work, I reinstalled WP 4.5.3.

Does any of this mean anything? http://grab.by/Rpko

I digress. I tried all the steps above, again, and this time I was able to find the culprit. It turns out that the conflict was caused by “Constant Contact Plugin for WordPress” By Katz Web Services, Inc. (https://katz.co/).
