@Lorenzo I am having the same issue on the new site we are building for our client. when you load the page for the first time the calendar shows just fine, but if you return to the page via the menu it disappears.
As described above, when you first go to the webpage at http://napervilleart.com/upcoming-events/ the calendar appears correctly. If you go to the Home page (or any other page for that matter) from the menu, they appear as normal. Then when you go back to the Main Menu (located at the top of the screen) and hover over Event List, then click on Upcoming Events in the sub-menu, you will see that the page that was originally viewed is no longer there. The load script for the calendar stops after the Category and Venue buttons appear.
To force a fresh reload of the page, hit F5 on your keyboard and it will bring the page up for you again showing the calendar.
This is obviously an issue when you consider that the calendar should show every time on this test page without having to force a refresh.
I did find the Fade setting and turned it off. So now it appears that the calendar is working properly when you visit the page and then come back to it.
