Spinning Gear–Create New Custom Message

We recently updated Event Espresso to 5.0.10.p and are now no longer able to create custom notification messages. When we click on the “Create New Custom” button when editing an event, the initial window to name a new template appears, but when you click “Create Template” there is just a spinning gear wheel and the entire editing process stalls.

I have a screen recording an our system information file that I’m happy to share with you.

Hi there,

I can reproduce this and have created a ticket for our developers to investigate this.

A workaround for the time being is to generate the custom template within the messages section:

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates.

Find the message template you want a custom version of and click the icon on the message template to create a custom template.

Make the changes you need there (Make sure you are editing the correct ‘contect’, see HERE).

Then on the event editor, refresh the page and your new custom template will show in the dropdown, select it and update/save the event.
