Hi,

We’re trying to figure out if Event Espresso is the right fit for our non-profit. Is it possible to have a selection of multiple times and locations? For example, the non-profit has workshops and we want to give users the ability to choose from 24 arts workshops (and able to choose multiple). Then we want the user to have the options to choose from one of four locations. We then want the user to be able to choose the time/day (Tuesdays 4:30, Thursday 4:30). Lastly, the user would be able to make a payment. We are looking for conformation that this is all possible.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Scott,

It is possible, but would result in a larger number of events.

Venues are tied to events, but only one event can be attached to an event at a time. So if you have a workshop in 4 locations you would need four events, one for each location.

This would result in 96 events, in your example.

Time can be added to the events, so can be selected by the user.

In EE3, time slots can expire, but it is an experimental feature that does not allow for group bookings.

Multiple events can be selected with Multiple Event Registration (an addon in the Business Licence).

Payments are built in, with over 30 or so gateways in EE3.

Please note that EE3 and EE4 are quite different. You can find a discussion of the differences here – https://eventespresso.com/2014/02/event-espresso-4-beta-officially-released/

We also have an EE4 demo site here http://demoee.org

Thanks for your quick response, Dean. I’ve been playing around with the demo for EE4 and was wondering if it was possible to change the wording “Ticket” for each event to be something else, like “Classes” — Would this be done through changing the template itself?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

This can be done by setting up a language file with your edits:

Cheers
