Hi – I’m trying to sort by “Event Date” in the “Event Espresso – Registrations” page but it doesn’t seem to work. I tried ascending and descending and neither seems to sort the registration by Event Date

Hi Ray,

Can you post a link to the page so we can take a look?

Here you go:

http://take.ms/VprNl

These are screen shots of ascending and descending sort by Event Date

Hi,

Are you on the latest software at EE 4.3?

If so, are the sorting options not responding in other Event Espresso screens?

Hi – yes, I am on EE4.3. Other sorting options (transaction date, event name, name) all seem to work well. Just the sorting by event date seems off. Thx.

Hello,

I haven’t been able to duplicate this yet. Does the URL look similar to this?

example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&orderby=DTT_EVT_start&order=asc

Also, how about the transactions screen in the WordPress dashboard? Does sorting the transaction date also not work?

Hi, yes the url does look similar: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&orderby=DTT_EVT_start&order=asc

The transaction date works.

Just figured it out. I have multiple dates under the one event and the sorting is done by the earliest date of the event and not the actual purchased event.

For example, for Event 1, I have an Event Date/Time as September 1, and another for November 1, and separate tickets for each. In Event 2, I have Event Date/Time for October 1, and December 1. If a purchaser A buys a ticket for Event 1 for November 1, and purchaser B buys a ticket for Event 2 for October 1, the system will sort first by purchaser A (Nov 1 ticket) first because Event 1 has the earliest ticket.

Basically, the system isn’t sorting by the actual purchased Event date/time, but by the 1st date inputted in the actual Event (for ascending order). I’m not sure if this is something you will want this fixed for recurring events, but it would be great if you could!

Thanks for sharing that feedback. I took another look at the screenshot that you shared and I do see that its sorted by chronological order by event start date.

I believe this is because we also use the event start date on the Events overview screen (Event Espresso –> Events).
