Sorting field

How hard would it be to add a sort index on the slug/permalink??
That would add a powerful tool to sort one’s events any way they want. We’ve asked about something similar before in that we’re trying to sort on the event_names but to ignore the “The ” at the beginning of a event name. I found code that should work but I can’t get it to work.

What code are you currently using?

This is an example of an issue that seems simple enough but is actually fairly complex in the background. We don’t currently have a method for doing this and we’d need to build something into the models to allow for it so its not something I can give you a snippet to work around with.

I’ll open up a discussion with the team about this and see if its something we would consider adding.
