I would like to share some ideas for Arabica, those are features that I needed and tried to add on my EE 3.1 application (still on it, not a fast developer…). Anyway I let you judge if those are useful or not, but I thought, why not share it.
When listing events on a page, being able to filter them with more than one category with the shortcode. It’s easier that way to show different types of events on different pages.
Questions for registration forms : add a special question type that lets the first registrant chose the theme / subject of a generic event. The next registrants are then obliged to chose the theme selected by the first registrant.
Enhance the multiple time slots per event feature : being able to edit a specific time slot.
Enhance staff managing : link staff members to time slots and not only events. That way, different staff members could be linked to the different time slots of the same event. It is necessary for this to work to add a column in the events_personnel_rel table containing the id of the events_start_end table as a foreign key.
A private agenda : a special calendar for managers that shows only events and time slots with at least one registrant, special events according to certain categories specified for them (ex : the institution is closed, this staff member is on holidays…), and the ability to manage the staff linked to the event / time slot directly with some ajax : add staff, delete staff…
