Hello.
I’ve read the help menu for the “Default Registration Status” field, as well as the info in the documentation.

If the event’s Default Registration Status is set to NOT APPROVED, here is how I understand the flow progresses for a registration:

1) Choose ticket and click “Register Now” button
(Ticket Availability Status = REDUCED BY 1 )
2) Complete Attendee questions and click “Proceed to Finalize Registration”
(Registration Status = NOT APPROVED)
3) Event admin changes registration status to APPROVED
(Registration Status = APPROVED)
(Ticket Availability Status = INCREASED BY 1 )

I am posting events for volunteers that usually only have a single ticket per volunteer opportunity. If someone changes their mind after making a selection, or accidentally chooses incorrectly, the ticket will say Sold Out until the session clock resets. Is it possible to start the session clock when the user clicks to submit the question form, rather than the ticket choice?

Per your suggestion on another thread, I have created a plugin which reduces the session to 30 minutes, but is it possible to configure it to change dynamically based on certain criteria, such as question count, ticket price, etc.?

Thanks.

Hi,

Changing the way sessions start and dynamically changing a sessions length is not possible. What you could do is provide “Cancel” button and have it link to your site’s registration-cancelled page. This way if the volunteer changes their mind they can click that button and it will reset the ticket count to 0 for that session.

For example, on the checkout page, you can add the following html after the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] shortcode:

<a href="http://yoursite.url/registration-cancelled" class="button">Click here to cancel this registration</a>

I think that will do the trick. Thanks for your help Josh.
