Sold out event when there should be 10 available tickets

This is an event with a 25 tickets limit. Sold so far: 15. Approved registrations: 18. Status: Sold Out. Why??

A client told me he wanted to buy 2 tickets but the website would only sell 1. That was strange because we still should have a lot of available tickets. I entered the website and checked this was true, indeed. Actually, the event turned into “sold out” at the very moment I added one ticket to the cart.

I checked the Admin area. Ticket data was alright. Only 15 tickets have been sold. I added a second ticket with 10 tickets extra. The result was the event being still sold out. The only solution has been to delete this ticket and increase the capacity of the original ticket to 35.

First, I can’t understand this behaviour of your software. I don’t know if this helps. Admin area have me a cryptic warning I could not decipher, about abandoned transactions freeing some space (I don’t know what does this mean). Just in case this helps, this event and ticket is part of a multiple event set, each one with a regular tickets. No more problems have been detected in the complete set. I have zero abandoned transactions and 7 failed transactions, only one of them including this troublesome ticket.

Second, I am worried that for some reason the event resumes to normal status, with the possibility of overselling 35 tickets for a smaller event with a real capacity of 25.

Please help! 🙁

Where is this shown?

Do you have you have the full message?

That sounds like the ticket reservation feature, it should ‘hold’ the ticket for the duration of the users session to prevent another user purchasing the ticket at the same time and overselling the event.

What is the current ‘sold’ value for the ticket that is available?
