I have been unable to find out how migrating to PayPal Commerce is going to effect all the information and buttons we have stored in PayPal Standard. How will it effect the reports we print every month? The only information I can find is about how it will help with selling products through e-commerce. We are a small meditation Center staffed mostly by volunteers and do not need another layer of complexity added to tax our limited resources.
So far PayPal Commerce does not look like a good fit.

Here’s the question: Has anyone migrated from PayPal Standard to PayPal Commerce and has it changed the backend utilities operating in PayPal Standard?. Does anyone know the impact it would have on a small organization?

How are you today?
Switching from PayPal Standard to PayPal Commerce only affects how payments are processed within Event Espresso.
You will continue to use your organization’s PayPal account. However, you may need to upgrade your account from a Personal to a Business account. This upgrade is free and simply requires providing additional organizational or personal information.
Which reports are you printing each month that you’re concerned about? If the reports are generated outside of Event Espresso, we won’t be able to determine how they might be affected. I expect that the same reports you get from PayPal will be available regardless of the integration method you are using. However, for Event Espresso reports, all the data will remain accessible and will continue to be available through the platform.
Switching from PayPal Standard to PayPal Commerce for Event Espresso can offer significant improvements in functionality, security, and user experience.
