I’m having issues specifically with the Events Listing page and one other page that I think is the culprit.

We have 7 total events.

The events page is taking upwards of 40 seconds to load (sometimes timeout).
6 of the individual event pages take about 2 seconds to load (roughly).

However, one specific event’s page either has a timeout or takes a long time to load ( > 40 seconds ). I’m guessing that the number of tickets has to do with the loading time. I also notice that on the event page, a lot of the data is re-rendered (maybe re-queried also?) in the “Show details” dropdowns.

So… is there another way we’re supposed to be creating events to avoid these load times?

I can suggest a different approach that will result in much faster load times for those pages. Along with the faster load times, you’ll have a more organized list of registrations/attendees for each of those Movie Camps.

Instead of one events with dozens of date times and different ticket options, you create an event for each movie. The event could still have the ticket options for morning and afternoon movies. Then you assign the movie camp events to a 2016 movie camps category.

Then you can set up a page that shows all the movie camp events with placing one of the following shortcodes on it:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug=2016-movie-camps category_filter=false table_search=false]

or

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=2016-movie-camps]
