Hi,
We’ve removed a sitemap plugin, and now using the WordPress built-in sitemap. I was looking at the events, and many of them seem to be duplicated six times in the sitemap.

Any suggestions on why this is happening, and what I can do to tidy this up?

The ideal for us would be that the sitemap only lists current & future events. Anything that is soldout or expired shouldn’t be listed in the sitemap.

I’m not able to reproduce what you’re seeing. Here is what I see on one of my test sites: https://www.screencast.com/t/595a2FEiM
It is unusual to see multiple urls for the same post in a sitemap.
If you don’t want sold out or expired events to show in the sitemap, you’ll probably want to either: 1) unpublish those events, or modify the WordPress sitemaps using custom code (using the appropriate filter). We did not write the WordPress sitemap so we don’t control what is included.
