I’ve been searching all over, trying to fix a demo event page I’m working on.
The featured image is HUGE and it just looks like a super plain blog site: I can see the date I published the event, featured up at the top, which is confusing for people.

I can’t figure out how to customize the template because the help documents say the base templates are at plugins/event-espresso/templates. They are not there and I’ve looked multiple times at the original download and the FTP site. Would like to start there…

In addition, I’ve tried changing the post/page template, and that does nothing.

What am I missing here? I need to make this look better for it to be useable.
